In 1984 Blasius Gerg founded the Modell- und Formenbau Gerg GmbH in Hohenthann, 30km south-east of Munich, Germany. At the start Gerg was focusing with a small team on modelling projects for a major car manufacturer in Bavaria, Germany. As the projects grew to be more complex and challenging, so did the infrastructure of the company, as well as the team of experts. The quality of work delivered set a benchmark in the car industry, which attracted further customers. Today, the GERG GROUP has 130 employees and evolved to become an alliance of four independent companies:
